Jazz Camp Fest

An immersive 4-day overnight music festival in the redwoods of La Honda, Northern California.

Scholarship/Work Exchange

Living Jazz has a commitment to work towards keeping our programs accessible to all participants. We have created scholarship/work trade positions for Jazz Camp Fest with that in mind.

Scholarships/work exchange positions are available to all, regardless of age, based solely on financial need. If you are applying for a scholarship/work trade position, please do NOT purchase a ticket or pay a deposit. Deposits are non-refundable.

Important Information Regarding Scholarship/Work Exchange Positions

Along with filling out your application, YOU MUST also provide:

  • A copy of the top page of your most recent tax return. (Minors, please attach a copy of the adult wage earners tax return.)

  • A brief explanation of why you need financial aid, and if you have any special skills you can offer us during the event.

We will not accept applications that are incomplete.

If you receive a Scholarship/Work Exchange Position, you will be asked to commit to a daily job over the 4-day event. These jobs might include helping with registration, putting up signage, helping move the tables in the dining hall to prepare the room for our yoga classes, moving equipment, Jazz Fest store support, clean-up crew, etc. Jobs should not take more than 1 hour per day unless agreed upon in advance between all parties. All Scholarship/Work Trade Positions include a requirement to stay approximately 2 additional hours on the final day to help with the event closure activities such as looking for Lost and Found in cabins, taking down signage, etc.

A Scholarship/Work Exchange meeting will be coordinated in advance of the event to assign jobs and answer any questions.
